Hi there! I'm Kathleen

I was a hobby painter for 25 years and 8 years ago I got focused on improving my craft.

I taught elementary school art to grades K – 5 and in the process, I reinforced the basic principles of art (known as the elements of art) within me and found them to be a simple yet powerful guide to my painting process. I quickly transitioned to teaching adults my newfound knowledge - - knowledge that helped me win awards, sell my original paintings and open my own art studio.

I've had the opportunity to teach hundreds of people how to paint through my free, live Facebook classes, in-person classes and then in my flagship, online course Essential Elements.

And through it all, I've discovered what makes a BIG difference in the success of new and evolving artists. I am thrilled to be able to share this with you.
